You can never quite tell how a kitten rescue mission is going to find you, but you certainly would not expect it to come from a bunch of notes tucked into your windscreen wipers.

It seems that overnight someone had passed by this car and heard the unmistakable meows of a tiny feline in need. Instead of continuing on by they made sure that the kitten would not be eaten up by the car and even offered their help.

It was not especially clear where the kitten was hiding so the people who heard her crying tried to make their assumptions to help the hoomans who turned up in the morning.

Seeing as our poster was no specialist at saving cats they took the stranger's offer for help and soon they had several people crouched around the car trying to figure out where this tiny feline was hiding and how they might get it out to safety.

It began to look like the kitten was actually in the engine, a place that would have for sure caused it a lot of discomfort if not far worse had the car been switched on.

After hours of not being able to locate or concinve the kitty to come out a local rescue was called to help and they turned up with two very interesting tools. First there were the kitten sounds they played from their phone. The idea being that those sounds might convince the kitten in the car that it is safe to come out. The second being an actual live kitten from the rescue who they hoped would call the kitten out to play.

Sadly the rescue's kitten herself was more interested in playing than calling out for a playmate and so a local cat lover's feline was recuirted as their pawrent claimed they were a pawticularly vocal feline who might very well convince the car kitten to come out of hiding.

But it was to no avail. Nothing seemed to help move the car kitten from its unreachable spot. So a final attempt with the rescue's kitten on a leash was put into action. The hope being that if she felt a little freer she would coax the car kitten out to play.

But once again this kitten did not get the memo and proceeded to play by herself underneath the car, completely missing the point of what her hoomans had hoped she would do.

And as irony would have it, the very moment that the rescuers turned their attention elsewhere the car kitten ran from the car she was hiding in and clambered into the car behind. Starting the process all over again from the beginning.

This time though, a different approach was employed. The car was covered all over with cardboard and humane traps. Leaving the kitten with no choice other than to enter a trap if she wanted to eat. So all that was left to do was wait until her hunger became greater than her fear.

And at 11pm the car kitten was finally saved having walked into one of the traps set up for her. Bringing this stressful story to a close and ensuring her safety.
